Slechts 35% van de mannen en 25% van de vrouwen heeft een particuliere ongevallenverzekering. Dat betekent dat ruim 60% van de bevolking achtergesteld is in noodgevallen kan dit een grote financiële impact hebben.

De particuliere ongevallenverzekering biedt een uitgebreide dekking tegen deze gevolgen. Getroffen personen ontvangen een vooraf bepaald bedrag in geval van schade, waardoor zij de nieuwe levenssituatie kunnen financieren.
Maar wanneer wordt de ongevallenverzekering precies van kracht en welke voordelen dekt deze?
Verzekerden ontvangen alleen een ongevallenverzekering als er een ongeval bestaat in de zin van het verzekeringsrecht. Met andere woorden, een ongeval in de zin van het verzekeringsrecht veronderstelt een plotselinge externe impact op het menselijk lichaam, wat resulteert in onvrijwillige schade aan de gezondheid. Wat houdt een ongevallenverzekering in?
Afhankelijk van wat u eerder in uw contract hebt afgesproken, ontvangt u een eenmalige uitkering of een maandelijks pensioen in geval van schade. In veel contracten zijn z. B. bergingskosten, cosmetische chirurgie of zelfs dagelijkse ziekenhuisvergoeding.
